Description of accommodation

Luxuriously furnished country cottage with wellness and summer kitchen will meet demands of even the most demanding clients to spend an unforgettable holiday in the complete privacy of an enclosed courtyard with a garden. The cottage consists of 2 separate apartments, each with its own entrance. The central heating of the building is provided by a gas boiler.

Apartment No. 1 (for 6 guests): Living room with a sofa bed (sleeps 2 people), LCD TV, dining table for 6 people and kitchen equipped with a ceramic hob, convection oven, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge with freezer and dishwasher, is walk-through to the first bedroom with a double bed and hydromassage bath for a couple. Second separate bedroom with a double bed which can be divided into 2 single beds. Bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin. An infrared sauna is available to guests.

Apartment No. 2 (for 4 guests): Living room with a double bed, baby cot, sofa bed (sleeps 2 people), LCD TV and dining table for 4 people is walk-through to the kitchen with a seating on bar stools, equipped with a ceramic hob, convection oven, microwave, kettle and fridge with freezer. Bathroom with a shower, toilet and basin.

The kitchen of apartment No. 2 features an exit to the sheltered summer kitchen with a brick fireplace, electric grill, dining table paired with rattan armchairs and comfortable seating on a sofa and armchairs with the possibility of watching TV outdoors. Guests also have a ping-pong table, darts and badminton set at their disposal. A wine cellar with a tap and cooling equipment. On hot summer days, you will appreciate the above-ground pool (ø 4.5 m and depth 1.2 m) in the grassy yard, a 5-person whirlpool bath under a pergola (available all year round), an outdoor shower and sun loungers. Your children can meanwhile have fun on the trampoline. Parking space for 2 cars in front of the cottage on private property.

Location description

In South Bohemia, in the southern part of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, on the outskirts of the "Czech Canada" nature reserve, in the small village of Borek, 1 km east of the town of Dačice, 17 km from the border line with Austria.
The picturesque rural landscape in the surroundings with its beauty awaiting appreciation by the wider public invites you to take slow-paced trips, whether on foot or by bike. We recommend taking a trip to the valley of the Moravská Dyje River, which naturally flows slowly in meanders here as if against the flow of time, lined with meadows and forest groves. Follow one of the many Grasel trails, named after the historical figure of a local robber, through the unspoiled landscape of Czech Canada, sought after for its deep forests, numerous ponds and old pilgrimage churches.
You can take home an original souvenir from Maříž (18 km), a village famous for its production of original ceramics, where in the local workshop you can not only buy products from professionals, but also let you express your creative spirit and make a souvenir of your perfect holiday with your very own hands. With your visit, you will financially support the rescue of the unique neo-Gothic palace in Český Rudolec (11 km) and on that occasion you may want to stop at the Grasel craft beer brewery for a refreshing break. The proximity of the border with Austria and the turbulent past of this area are reminded by the Museum of the Czechoslovak Fortifications near Slavonice (15 km), a town with a Renaissance historical core consisting of burgher houses with arcades and a mysterious underground accessible to the public. Last but not least, the town of Dačice (1 km) awaits you with the Empire New Castle, which houses the town museum and gallery, the Church of St. Vavřinec with a Renaissance lookout tower and the Wilhelm Göth Aviation Museum.

Distances: playground approx. 100 m (in the village), restaurant, supermarket, visitor centre, post office, cash machine, swimming pool, bike rental, tennis courts within 3 km (Dačice), fishing 2 km (on the Dyje River), woodland 2 km.

Winter info: ski resort Mrákotín (18 km) with a pair of artificially snowed slopes, a lift and lighting, suitable conditions for cross-country skiing in the area.
