Description of accommodation

A Nordic-style mountain cottage with a sauna, situated in the heart of the picturesque Šumava landscape just 500 m from the ski resort, offers comfortable facilities for larger groups of guests in 4 separate apartments.

Apartment No. 1 (for 2 guests): The smallest apartment with a double bed, TV, dining table and kitchenette equipped with a single-plate induction hob, microwave, electric kettle and bar fridge with freezer. Separate bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.
Apartment No. 2 (up to 5 guests): A spacious duplex apartment with a sofa bed (extra bed for 1 person), TV, dining area and kitchenette equipped with a two-plate electric hob, microwave, electric kettle and bar fridge with freezer. Sleeping floor with double bed and sofa bed for two. Separate bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.
Apartment No. 3 (up to 5 guests): Duplex apartment with balcony equipped with sofa bed (extra bed for 1 person), TV, dining table and kitchenette with two-plate induction hob, microwave, kettle and bar fridge with freezer. Sleeping floor with double bed and sofa bed for two. Separate bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.
Apartment No. 4 (up to 3 guests): Apartment with sofa bed (extra bed for 1 person), TV, double bed, dining table and kitchenette equipped with two-plate electric hob, microwave, kettle and bar fridge with freezer. Separate bathroom with shower, toilet and basin.

In the basement there is a common room with TV (screen only), seating, wood-burning stove, bar counter with automatic coffee maker and kitchen equipped with induction hob, oven, waffle maker and large fridge with freezer. In the second part there is a Finnish sauna with a relaxation area and two shower units. Separate toilet. In the utility room it is possible to use a washing machine with tumble dryer by prior arrangement. The building is heated by electric heaters.
Guests coming for an active holiday in winter will appreciate the heated shoe rack and in summer the safe storage of their bikes in the garage. Outdoor seating on the terrace under a parasol and sheltered seating in the garden under a pergola. Guests have two BBQ grills available - one is powered by gas and the other fueled with charcoal. There are two single beds in the garden house for emergency overnight stays for extra people. You can arrange to rent bicycles and canoes on site with the landlord. There are plenty of parking spaces on the private property next to the cottage.

Note on accommodation

Pets allowed for a fee of CZK 1000 per stay. Free Wi-Fi internet connection. Electricity consumption up to 50 kWh included in the price. Refundable deposit CZK 5000 (up to 10 people) and CZK 8000 (over 10 people). Final cleaning for a fee of CZK 600. Bedding, towels and teacloths provided by the landlord. Children under 2 years without a right to their own bed free of charge. The property is suitable for a maximum of 15 people.

The prices listed apply, except for New Year's Eve stays, when the cottage is occupied by up to 10 guests. When being occupied by more than 10 guests, each additional guest is charged:
January / 2nd half of March / Christmas: CZK 575/person/night
February / 1st half of March: CZK 600/person/night
April / May / 1st half of June: CZK 550/person/night
2nd half of June - 1st week of September: CZK 600/person/night
2nd week of September - until Christmas: CZK 550/person/night

Location description

In South Bohemia, in the Šumava Protected Landscape Area, in the Kubova Huť ski resort, 10 km south of Vimperk and 17 km from the border crossing with Germany. The village has the highest located railway station in the country, which provides train connections around the area and makes it easier to discover the magical Šumava region. You can admire the entire area from the nearby lookout tower on the top of Boubín Mountain (4.5 km). On the slopes of the mountain is situated the Boubínský Prales National Nature Reserve, around which an educational trail will take you. You can also head to the source of the Vltava River under the Černá Hora mountain (23 km) and along the way walk through the area of ​​the largest peat bog in our territory, the so-called Chalupská slať (13 km). Lovers of historical monuments will head to Vimperk to visit the beautiful castle (10 km) or to the ruins of Kunžvart Castle (12 km). Typical of the Šumava border region are ubiquitous pre-war military bunkers, and one near the Soumarský Bridge (14 km) has been renovated by military history fans to host an exhibition documenting the history of the Czechoslovak light border fortification system. Families with children will enjoy some adrenaline-fueled fun at the ropes course in Zadov (25 km). We also recommend to visit the village of Lenora (10 km) with a museum of glass and a historic municipal oven, where bread is baked for the public on selected Saturdays.

Distances: playground and restaurant within 500 m (in the village), basic groceries, visitor centre, post office, boat launch and fishing on the Vltava River 4 km (H.Vltavice), supermarket and cash machine 10 km (Vimperk), lido 12 km (Borová Lada), tennis courts 18 km (Volary), forest within 100 m.

Winter info: ski resorts Kubova Huť (500 m), Strážný (13.5 km), České Žleby (16 km), Zadov-Nové Hutě (22 km) and Churáňov (23.5 km), for cross-country skiers there are groomed trails in the vicinity or the racing track area in Zadov (25.5 km).
