Description of accommodation

Semi-secluded, traditional country cottage with tiled stove, exposed beam ceiling and rustic furniture is equipped to the contemporary living standards for your full comfort on holiday in the beautiful landscape of Pošumaví.
Entrance into the hall, on the right hand side is a living room with seating on a pair of sofas and armchairs as well as in a hanging rocking chair. Exit from the room to the garden. Separate kitchen with original (and still functional) tiled stove, single bed, dining table and kitchen equipped with a combined gas. stove with electric. oven, microwave, kettle, coffee maker and dishwasher. Large fridge with freezer in the pantry. From the kitchen you enter a closed bedroom with two double beds, one single bed, wood-burning stove and TV. There is also a bathroom with a bathtub, toilet and basin on the ground floor. Heating of the property is provided by the wood-burning stove with heat distribution to all rooms.
The cottage includes a sitting area on garden furniture with a swing and bbq gas grill under a shelter and a large fenced garden with a firepit. Parking for up to 3 cars on the premises.

Pets (small/medium-sized breed) allowed for a fee of CZK 450 per stay. Wi-Fi connection available. Refundable deposit CZK 3000. Consumption of electric power up to 50 kWh included in the price. Firewood available free of charge. Bedding provided by the landlord, you must bring your own towels. The accommodation is suitable for up to 6 guests.

Location description

In South Bohemia, in the foothills of the Šumava Mountains, in the small village of Damíč, 17 km east of Sušice and 23 km west of Strakonice.
The cottage is located in the rolling landscape of meadows and forests of the Pošumaví region, about 1 km from the cycle path, which further crosses in Žichovice (10 km) with the cycle path leading through the beautiful valley of the Otava River. It is sought after by paddlers for its calm flow without weirs and traps with the possibility of swimming on river beaches and refreshments in paddlers' taverns along the river. Whether on foot, by bike or by water, we recommend making a stop at the still functioning Annín glassworks with a museum (15 km) and in the town of Sušice with its historical center, a unique river swimming pool on an island and Offpark, which provides adrenaline activities for all ages. Šumava is a region where craft beer breweries thrive, in the vicinity you can visit the Pidipivovárek u Pujiče in Lazny (5 km), the U Švelchů brewery in Sušice and the brewery in the picturesque town of Kašperské Hory (13 km), where the Šumava Museum and the Museum of Historic Motorcycles are also worth visiting. The area also has historical monuments of national importance, such as the gothic Kašperk Castle (10.5 km), the highest situated royal castle in our territory, and the ruins of Rabí Castle (12 km), which had one of the most advanced defense systems of its time in Europe and is also the largest castle ruin in Bohemia. You can enjoy the view of the Šumava landscape from the Na Sedle (10.5 km) or the Svatobor lookout towers (17 km).
