Description of accommodation

A two-storey timbered cottage with a large fenced garden situated in a semi-secluded location by the forest in a quiet part of the town has the character of a building that will take you back to the times of our grannies.
Entrance, living room with a dining table, Smart TV and seating on a sofa and armchairs. Kitchen equipped with a wood-burning stove, combined gas stove with electric oven, microwave, kettle and dishwasher. Large fridge with freezer in the hallway. First bedroom with 3 single beds. Second bedroom with 1 single bed. Bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, basin and washing machine. Second separate toilet. In the attic there is a third bedroom with 2 double beds. The heating of the building is provided by thermal air conditioning in combination with a wood-burning stove.
The cottage has a beautifully landscaped garden with a stream flowing through it, which adds to the relaxed atmosphere of the place, equipped with a seating on wooden benches under a parasol, a swing bench, a grill, a firepit, hammocks and play equipment for children (trampoline, sandpit, slide, swings etc.). Plenty of parking space for cars in the garden.

Pets allowed for a fee of CZK 100 per day. Baby cot available. Free Wi-Fi connection. Refundable deposit not required. Consumption of electricity and firewood already included in the price. Bed linen, towels and tea towels provided by the landlady. The property is suitable for up to 8 guests.

Location description

In northern Bohemia, on the border of the Lusatian Mountains and Bohemian Switzerland, on the very edge of the town of Varnsdorf, only 150 m from the border line with Germany. A nature trail running around the cottage takes you through the forest to the Špičák Hill and further to the Hrádek Hill (4 km) with a dominant feature in the form of a lookout tower in a historicizing romantic style, a popular excursion destination for locals. In the immediate vicinity (150 m) is also the Laskavo lavender garden, where in the summer you can relax for a fee among the fields of this aromatic and photogenic herb (reservations tel.: 606229606). Not only lavender is being processed in Nobilis Tilia - a producer of natural cosmetics located on the Vlčí hora mountain with its fragrant shop and teahouse (17 km). Families with children will find fun in the Jedlová adrenaline park (9.5 km), the bobsleigh park in Oderwitz (10.5 km) and the Zittau zoo (17 km). For sandstone rocks with secured routes (so-called "via ferrata") and beautiful viewpoints, head to the village of Jonsdorf (11 km). Cultural sights worth visiting include the ruins of Tolštejn Castle (10 km) and the rock castle with the ruins of the Oybin Monastery (15 km). It would be a sin not to stop for a guided tour combined with a beer tasting at the Kocour craft brewery in Varnsdorf (3 km) and Falkenštejn in Krásná Lípa (12 km).
