    Description of accommodation

Behind the discreet facade of this traditional Highlands cottage, which has undergone a complete renovation, there are modern, design-clean interiors and a garden with a hot tub and seating on a sheltered terrace. Here, quality materials tested by time are combined with modern technologies into one perfect whole. Partially exposed brickwork, wooden ceiling beams, renovated country-style furniture or tiled stove refer to the original building and have not only useful but also decorative value. Such details as ceramic switches and forged door handles were also remembered. The building is heated centrally by a heat pump without the need for an operator and locally by a wood-burning stove in the dining room.
You are staying in the right, completely separate part of the cottage with its own entrance. Entrance to the hallway and further through the sliding door to the corridor, from which you enter the enclosed spacious dining room with the tiled stove, a rustic seating set and a kitchen equipped with an induction cooker plate with a kettle, coffee machine, convection oven, microwave oven, large fridge with freezer compartment and dishwasher. There is also a toilet with a basin on the ground floor. By going upstairs you will find a bright living room with a sofa and a view of the garden. There are also 2 bedrooms on the first floor, the 1st bedroom with 2 single beds and the 2nd bedroom with 1 double bed. Separate bathroom with a bathtub, toilet, basin and entrance to the terrace. However, the main entrance to the outdoor sheltered terrace with the seating and charcoal/briquette grill is through the sliding French window in the living room. The terrace overlooks the well-maintained garden, where you can enjoy a wood-fired hot tub that is in use most of the year as long as the air temperature is above freezing, as well as an outdoor shower and fire pit. From the garden, you can go directly out into the adjacent forest through a gate. The gate is monitored by a security camera, which is out of order during your stay.

  • Location description

    Location description

In the Vysočina region, in the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, in the Žďárské hills, 16 km northeast of the town of Nové Město na Moravě. The small town of Jimramov with a long history, an unusually strong genius loci and typical folk architecture for the Highlands region, which was not disturbed by the typical apartment house development in the post-war period, is located on the historic land border between Bohemia and Moravia. Its dominant features are two churches facing each other - the Evangelical and the Nativity of the Virgin Mary. In their surroundings you can wander through the streets lined with old cottages or take a walk through Jan Karafiát square with town houses and the town hall from the classicism period to the castle from the same period and Bludník park. This entire area is protected as an urban heritage zone.
From Jimramov, set off on foot or by bike along one of the many marked hiking trails into the surrounding hilly landscape, where deep forests full of mushrooms and blueberries alternate with meadows and fields. Along the way, you will pass rock formations of various shapes, for which the Žďárské hills are a sought-after location. After conquering them, you will be rewarded with gorgeous views into the vast distance. Lovers of adrenaline fun will go to Vír (17 km), where trails for bikers and via ferrata for rock climbers have been built.
For a trip to see folk architecture, we recommend the conservation areas in the villages of Ubušínek (7 km), Krátká (13 km) and Křižánky (17 km). The romantic ruins of the castle Zubštejn (23 km), the monumental castles Svojanov (18 km) and Pernštejn (28 km), the royal town of Polička with an uniquely preserved system of medieval fortifications, the burgher's beer brewery, museum and gallery (11 km) or the pilgrimage church St. John of Nepomuk on Zelená hora by architect J.B. Santini in Baroque Gothic style, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (30 km), are definitely worth a visit.
Distances: Basic groceries, restaurant, café, kids/soccer/workout playground, tennis courts and post office (in the town) within 1 km, visitor centre and cash machine (Bystré) 10 km, supermarket, lido, indoor swimming pool and bicycle rental (Polička) 11 km, outdoor center (Domanín) 13 km, golf course (Svratka) 20 km, woodland within 100 m.
Winter info: Sedliště ski lift (1.5 km), Nový Jimramov ski resort with 2 lifts, 3 ski slopes and evening operation (3 km), cross-country skiing site Tři Studně (21 km) and Svratka (22 km).

Who is InterBohemia

We have more than 30 years of experience in renting cottages and other recreational houses! Our specialization is in renting cottages and recreational houses across the entire Czech Republic, with a minority of houses also located in Slovakia. In 1990, we started as a Dutch company that offered accommodation in the Czech Republic for clients mainly from the Benelux, Germany and Great Britain. Over the years, the transformation from a Dutch company to a Czech one took place, when we successfully developed into a medium-sized organization offering a high-quality product of several hundred cottages and holiday houses with websites in four language versions. In addition to Czech clients, we also have clients from Germany, Holland and other European countries.
